Envirowise is a governement body to help UK business save money through waste minimisation.

Through envirowise businesses with less than 250 staff are able to organise a confidential on-site waste review . Its aim is to identify waste minimisation opportunities, and help businesses make savings in its operational costs.

A Helpline is also available that provides free, confidential and independent advice.

Environment Agency - PPG

The Environment Agency is the leading public body for protecting and improving the environment in England and Wales.

In conjunction with the Scottish Environment Agency(SEPA) and the Environment and Heritage Service in Northern Ireland it produces a range of Pollution Prevention Guidance Notes (PPGs). These are targeted at a particular industrial sector or activity and aims to provide advice on statutory responsibilities and good environmental practice. As well as being used by Agency staff, the PPGs also function as invaluable sources of advice for industry and members of the public. They are downloadable from the internet in Adobe pdf format.
